CASS Urges Community Generous Donations For Relieving Flooding Disaster In NSW
Parts of northern NSW and lower Blue Mountains regions are currently experiencing once in a thousand year “disaster level” of flooding which have already killed at least five people and destroyed more than 2,000 houses. Schools in some areas have to be closed. Over thousands of volunteers and SES workers are working selflessly to save lives and properties, and this hard work may last for weeks.
Many thousands of people have been displaced and become homeless because of the flooding. We should give a helping hand to assist them in overcoming the difficulties, make them feel the care of the community.
CASS urges people in our community to donate generously to relevant agencies engaging in relief work of flooding disaster. Donations can be made through the CASS Charity Trust Fund, an approved Charity group setup by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) that any donation of $2 or more is tax-deductible. Every dollar you donate will go to GIVIT to help the people impacted. No administrative fee is levied by CASS as every dollar you donate is significant in helping the victims! Tax deductible donation receipts will be provided.
