Better training, better services – CASS Training Program empowers volunteers – March 2022
We are thrilled to share with you that our 3-day Volunteer Training Program at Burwood RSL Club (Club Burwood Group – Club Burwood RSL, Club Burwood & Croydon Park Club) has drawn a successful conclusion!
The pandemic has brought significant challenges and changes to our society. To embrace the changes and better serve the local community, CASS, funded by Burwood RSL Club, organised the training program to equip our volunteers with skills and knowledge.
With 19 volunteer participants, this training is expected to benefit at least 200 people from the Burwood LGA indirectly. There were three sessions in the program covering topics such as leadership training, group leading skills, conflict resolution, confidentiality and being a CASS volunteer.
“The staff were amiable and treated me respectfully. They gave me clear instructions.” Wendy shared joyfully when asked about her volunteering experience at CASS, “I hadn’t realised there were so many people who needed help in our society until I became a form-filling volunteer. Volunteering for CASS really gave me a sense of purpose.”
CASS, a community organisation, is dedicated to serving multicultural communities. Over a thousand selfless and enthusiastic volunteers have helped us and played essential roles in all aspects of operations. TOGETHER, let us make our communities a better place.
