CASS and Ku-ring-gai Council Celebrate Lunar New Year with the Local Community!

In February 2024, CASS and Ku-ring-gai Council came together to host a vibrant and joyous Lunar New Year celebration, bringing the spirit of the Year of the Dragon to life in our local community. The event was filled with activities that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Chinese traditions.

🧧 Participants of all ages had the chance to learn and practice the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy. Children and adults alike immersed themselves in creating beautiful, traditional “Fu” characters, symbolizing good fortune and happiness for the coming year. 🎭 The celebration continued with mesmerizing Chinese folk dances and music. The elegance of the performers in their beautifully embroidered costumes brought a touch of authenticity and grandeur to the event, captivating the audience. 🌸 Cultural Heritage: The event also featured a showcase of traditional Chinese garments, highlighting the intricate designs and historical significance of each piece. Visitors had the opportunity to admire the craftsmanship and take photos with the performers dressed in these elegant costumes.
