【CASS Awarded Two 2024 Premier’s Multicultural Community Medals】
CASS, a longstanding multicultural community services provider, has been awarded the Business Excellence – Not for Profit Medal in Premier’s Harmony Dinner 2024 held on 14 March at the International Convention Centre Sydney – ICC Sydney. In the same event, the Deputy Chairperson/Secretary of CASS, Mr. Anthony Pang OAM, was also honoured with the Lifetime Community Service Medal.
The Hon Chris Minns MP, Premier of NSW, addressed the audience at the 12th Premier’s Harmony Dinner marking over a decade of community excellence. Prof. Stephen Li, the Chairperson of CASS, received the award from the Hon. Jihad Dib MP, Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government, Minister for Emergency Services and Minister for Youth Justice, for its outstanding achievements as a not-for-profit that promotes diversity and inclusion in its programming.
Mr. Anthony Pang OAM received the Lifetime Community Service Medal for his dedicated volunteer work and efforts in community services, multiculturalism, community harmony, and social justice over 33 years. This Award is also his second honour in 2024, besides his receipt of the Order of Australia Medal on Australia Day this year.
Some CASS Board members and senior executives were also present at the event to celebrate this significant milestone.
The Premier’s Multicultural Community Medals pay tribute to the many outstanding people who contribute significantly to society and foster social cohesion and harmony across NSW.
