【CASS Food Hamper Giveaways for Carers – Thank you for Caring 💖 – 19 October 2021】

National Carers Week is an opportunity to raise community awareness amongst Australians about the diversity of carers and their roles, and express the appreciation of their sacrifices and commitment to the society. CASS Care would also like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the carers in our community, offering unpaid assistance and incredible support to the family members or friends with needs.

Funded by Carers NSW Australia, we prepared some gift bags and delivered them to the carers of our dementia senior groups to show our appreciation and recognition of the carers. Each hamper contained a bag of dried mushrooms. Dried mushroom is a traditional health food that is very well-liked by the Chinese community.

Apart from their smiley faces under the masks, we received a number of heart-warming messages from carers, thanking CASS for the special gifts and sending best wishes to CASS staff and volunteers.
