【CASS proudly celebrates three significant milestones as we embark on our 44th year of dedicated service】
In 2025, CASS proudly celebrates three significant milestones as we embark on our 44th year of dedicated service to the vibrant multicultural community of NSW. This year, we also honour the 40th anniversary of the CASS Gumnut Early Learning Centre – Campsie, a cornerstone in nurturing future generations, and we commemorate a decade of providing high-quality residential aged care at the CASS Residential Aged Care Facility in Campsie.
On 6 March 2025, we had the pleasure of gathering representatives from various levels of government along with CASS children, staff, and seniors to celebrate these incredible achievements at our own activity hall in Campsie.
We were honoured to receive distinguished guests, including Clr Mayor Bilal El-Hayek – City of Canterbury Bankstown; the Hon Linda Burney MP, Federal Member for Barton; the Hon Tony Burke MP, Federal Member for Watson, represented by Clr Alex Yang; Mr Jason Yat-sen Li MP, State Member for Strathfield; the Hon Sophie Cotsis MP, State Member for Canterbury, represented by Ms Floris Lam; and Clr Ash Ambihaipahar – Labor for Barton of Georges River Council. Their presence underscores the importance of our mission to nurture individuals from toddlerhood to their senior years throughout generations.
In her welcome speech, Dr Leng Tan, our esteemed Emeritus Chairperson, acknowledged the exceptional work of the CASS Gumnut Early Learning Centre – Campsie team, who have been instrumental in offering high-quality early childhood education, as well as before-and-after school and vacation care services. She also recognised the dedicated staff at the CASS Residential Aged Care Facility for their outstanding commitment to the care and safety of our seniors. Both programs have received significant glories, including the 2023 Excellence in Early Childhood Education Award from the Australian Childcare Alliance NSW in the Large Community Metropolitan Service category, along with an outstanding 5-star rating from the Australian Government since August 2024.
Mr Henry Pan OAM, our esteemed Foundation Chairperson & Honorary Executive Director, Ms Tica Lee, Vice-Chairperson, and our dedicated board members, including Mr Stephen Yang, Ms Helen Ashton, Ms Holly Liu, Ms Patricia Wong and Mr Shan Zou, also joined the celebration. Cutting the three birthday cakes brought the celebration to its peak, fostering a sense of love, joy and togetherness. Special thanks to Bakery King Cake Shop for sponsoring the 3 cakes.
As we reflect on these milestones, each achievement speaks to the dedication of CASS staff and volunteers. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the government, our partner organisations, and everyone who has played a role in helping CASS grow and thrive. The road ahead is filled with exciting opportunities for further growth and collaboration.
In 2025 and the years ahead, we look forward to continuing this journey with you.
