On 8 September 2023, CASS held the unveiling ceremony of the bus stops donated by the Hong Kong Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) Company at its Campsie Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF)

Thank you Ms. Daisy Tsui from KMB, Mayor Bilal El-Hayek – City of Canterbury Bankstown, Mark Coure MP Mr Alexander Yang representing Tony Burke MP, Ms Jin Qian representing Sophie Cotsis MP, and Ms Katherine Siu representative from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Sydney for gracing us with your presence.

In addition, we thank the support of prominent Chinese community leaders and local media professionals such as SBS and 靚太360 from 2CR 澳洲中文廣播電台 for also attending alongside our Chairman Dr. Bo Zhou, Foundation Chairperson Mr. Henry Pan, Emeritus Chairperson Dr. Leng Tan, Board Director Ms. Tica Lee, Council Elder Mr. Percy To, and of course, our very own RACF residents and their families.

This initiative aims to address dementia and highlights our commitment to providing good care and service. Studies have shown that using everyday objects and familiar places can help people with dementia recall past experiences and improve communication skills. The assistance from KMB 九巴專頁 to help our elderly RACF residents relive their memories of their lives in Hong Kong is truly amazing.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the volunteers from 九巴之友 who put a lot of time and effort into renovating the bus stop – their selfless dedication is much appreciated .
