【Ku-ring-gai Council and CASS Brighten Cultural Harmony】
On 7 May, we witnessed a spectacular display of diversity and unity in multiculturalism at the “Bright Up for Cultural Harmony Ku-ring-gai” cultural performance. We are grateful to everyone who joined us in celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures that make our community so vibrant! We owe a huge thank you to the Ku-ring-gai arts & cultural grants for their support in making this event possible. Their commitment to promoting arts and culture is truly commendable.
We were genuinely inspired by the presence of distinguished guests who greatly enhanced the event, including Cr Barbara Ward, Councillor for Gordon Ward, Ku-ring-gai Council and Dr Danny Houseas, Community Development Manager of Ku-ring-gai Council. Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to the attending CASS senior members, who played a crucial role in ensuring the success of this event, including Dr Leng Tan, our esteemed Emeritus Chairperson.; Mr Ivan Wong, General Manager/Strategic Support of Community Services Directorate, especially Mr Anthony Pang OAM, Deputy Chairperson/Secretary, whose inspiring welcome speech left a lasting impression on us.
During his inspiring welcome speech, Mr Pang expressed his admiration for the Ku-ring-gai Council, highlighting it as an ideal place to live. He specifically noted the growing diversity of the local community and expressed his sincere appreciation for the council’s unwavering support of CASS’s programs.
Cr Barbara Ward highly recognised and acknowledged CASS for its longstanding dedication to promoting multiculturalism. She expressed her delight in the event as a fantastic opportunity for residents to embrace cultural harmony in Ku-ring-gai and extended her warmest wishes for an enjoyable show.
With Chinese folk dance, Tai Chi, a Chorus, a Catwalk, Korean Dance, and Indian-Bollywood Dance, the event was nothing short of a dazzling multicultural carnival with around 120 participants. A big shout to our MC, Ms Robin Chen, who did an amazing job of orchestrating the gala night.
Let’s continue to support and celebrate our diversity, which brightens up Ku-ring-gai and CASS with cultural harmony!
