“Bilingual Play & Learn (PAL) Time” Online Program Helps Developing Citizens of Our Future

April 20, 2021

“Bilingual Play & Learn (PAL) Time” Programme is an online service provided by CASS for early childhood educational development.  It has been running for nearly a year and is widely welcome by children and families.  Hosted by qualified and experienced early childhood teachers, the free program provides innovative learning activities to help young children learning through play activities while staying at home without geographical constraint.

Littles minds are shaped and stimulated through playing. Our professional educators create an all-rounded and diversified learning experiences through different activities like Sing & Dance, Arts & Craft, DIY program, Questions & Answers and Storytelling, etc., allowing kids to be active, engaged and take initiatives in their own learning. Our program also involves kids in events or incidents happening around us to make learning more relevant. For example, diversity, inclusion and respect for all people and cultures celebrated in Harmony Week is taught in the PAL program through stories, music and play.

In view that focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) in early childhood has grown dramatically with the rise of technology, and an increasing awareness of the importance of these areas for life and careers of the future, STEM education is incorporated into the PAL program to foster the kids’ curiosity and cultivate their creative minds. These learning experiences children have during their early years are extremely important.

CASS Child Care Services realise the benefits of bilingual learning in early childhood, such as improving a person’s multitasking skills, attention control, problem solving and creativity, and promoting outside-the-box thinking. Chinese language is incorporated into CASS bilingual PAL program. Children are encouraged to listen and speak Chinese in a fun and playful way.

Kids are incredibly active learners. CASS “Bilingual Play & Learn” Program can help your child with the provision of an environment and learning experiences that foster their creativity and curiosity through play. Learning can always be fun and fulfilling.

The program is conducted via zoom every second Tuesday morning at 10am. Children from all cultural backgrounds are welcome. The program is free of charge and registration is required. For more information, please contact Pearl Zang on (02) 9718 3999 or via email cassfdc@cass.org.au.
