Generous Donors Support CASS to Fight COVID-19

June 23, 2020

Since the emergence of COVID-19 pandemic in Australia, the Government has implemented a series of measures to manage the impact, including strict social distancing rules which have affected the lives of many people. CASS being a community services provider dedicated to serve the community has endeavoured to continue the provision of services during this difficult time. Those frontline staff members of CASS having higher risk of contracting the virus because of their work in direct care have been well protected by the organisation with the provision of appropriate protective equipment and sanitising materials, including hand sanitisers, protective gloves and medical masks, etc. These protective products were scarce and highly priced at the start of the pandemic, but CASS still purchased them from various channels to ensure the safety of its staff members.

Over the last few months, many people and organisations in the community have come forward to make generous donations of protective products and other essential items to CASS, enabling CASS not only be able to provide protection to its staff members but continue to provide quality care for the seniors, people with disability and young children using its services. CASS has released the below list of donors to acknowledge their generosity. They include: the  Federation of Australian Hainanese Organisations and NSW Hainanese Association of Australia, Chinese Masonic Society, ABC Tissue Products, Chung Shan Society of Australia, Australia FoShan Association Inc., Australia Dongguan Entrepreneurs Federation, The Federation of Australian Guangdong Communities, Clr Simon Zhou, Bin Zhong, Yan Li, Ruoxi Zhong, Chengqi Zhong, Sun Yat-Sen University Australia Alumni Association Incorporated, Australia Yellow River Chorus, ChuKwan Lun & ShukMan Lun, Dong Zhou, Lotus Nyingge, Laidi Chloe Chen, YiJia International (Australia) Pty Ltd, Burwood Asian Business Partnership Incorporated, Qing Shui Wang, Life Spring Global Pty Ltd, Performance Auto Trader and Van Tsang etc.

With the community joining hands to work in unity and actively adhering to the Government’s guidelines, we will certainly win this battle against COVID-19!
