The national winners of the 2021 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards were announced at the Gala Dinner hosted by Family Day Care Australia on Saturday 26 February 2022 in Canberra. CASS Family Day Care (CFDC) was delighted and proud to participate in this meaningful occasion as the 2021 ACT/NSW Service National Finalist of “Service of the Year Award”.

Four national finalists of “Service of the Year Award” were invited to the Gala Dinner. Congratulations to Baw Baw Shire Family Day Care which won the National Service of the Year Award. On behalf of CASS Family Day Care, Dorothy Hung received the trophy of Top 4 National Finalists on stage. The award recognised and showcased the valuable work CFDC has done for its educators and its communities in NSW.

This is the first time CFDC has reached the finalist position for this honourable national award. CFDC is the only representative of ACT/NSW and also the sole family day care service provider from Asian background. It is definitely a true milestone and an extraordinary experience for the CFDC Team.

Dorothy Hung, Senior Executive Officer of CASS Child Care Services said, “The Excellence in Family Day Care Awards recognised the amazing work done by educators, coordinators and services in the family day care sector to deliver high quality early childhood education and care to children across Australia.”
     

Established in 1982, CFDC started from a child care service coordinating unit with only a part-time staff member, has been dedicated to supporting the community particularly the families from multicultural backgrounds with professional and quality child care services. Today CFDC has established a comprehensive network covering nearly 30 suburbs in Greater Sydney, serving more than 300 families every week with the effort of a group of outstanding and experienced educators.  

Dorothy further expressed, “We are very proud and feel honoured to be selected as the Top 4 National Finalists. In fact, we had witnessed the remarkable achievement and improvement that CFDC had made with the continuing persistence and efforts. We would like to thank our team for their dedication and efforts in achieving this tremendous result and thank CASS management for their leadership and guidance. It could not be achieved if everyone did not work together with 100% effort and determination. This Award belongs to our whole team, to each and every team member.” 

Dorothy continued, “We are very pleased that our work is highly acknowledged and recognized. All the success should be attributed to the dedication, passion, commitment and outstanding level of professionalism of every educator of our team. Last but not least, we would also like to express our wholehearted thanks to the tremendous support and love of our parents and kids who had contributed to our journey.”
