Winning Entries of the “Combating COVID-19: Turning Isolation Into Creativity” Competition Part 2

May 30, 2020

Entries we received are artistic, creative and inspiring, covering a very varied field of topics, reflecting keen interests of people in the community from various cultural backgrounds. We had to make hard decisions to pick the winning entries, and we wish to share these brilliant works with you.

This video is made by a teenager from Korean community. By filming this cute pet in her family, she reminds us to not to over indulge ourselves while staying at home, and to stay healthy by exercising and doing housework.

This video shows how a senior’s life is enriched by her hobbies as well as learning English. Following instructions from the Government, she stays at home most of the time during the pandemic and keeps herself content through practising Chinese calligraphy, Chinese traditional painting, cooking and learning English.

This gentleman follows the Government’s instruction and stays at home as much as possible, which he finds relaxing and enjoyable because he now has more time for himself. All these activities he schedules for himself, such as writing Chinese calligraphy, playing piano, dancing and looking after the garden, have given him pleasure and inner peace.
