CASS Awarded Multicultural Health Medal at Premier’s Harmony Dinner 2026

CASS, a longstanding multicultural community services provider, has been awarded the Multicultural Health Medal in Premier’s Harmony Dinner 2026 held on 26 March at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney.

The Hon Chris Minns MP, Premier of NSW, addressed the audience at the 13^th Premier’s Harmony Dinner marking over a decade of community excellence.

“Tonight, we celebrate people and organisations whose outstanding leadership and service ensure people from every background belong and thrive in our diverse state,” the Premier said.

Prof. Stephen Li AM, the Chairperson of CASS, received the award from The Hon Stephen Kamper MP, Minister for Multiculturalism. The award recognises the exceptional work of CASS in promoting active ageing and wellbeing within multicultural communities.

“CASS is powered by a deep belief in breaking cultural and language barriers, so every person can access the support they deserve. We are privileged to return to the stage, receiving the Premier’s Multicultural Community Medal once again since 2021 and 2024, a testament to our enduring service commitment and the recognition we have garnered from the community,” said Prof. Li.

Established in 1993, CASS Multicultural Seniors Activity Groups support seniors to age actively and with dignity. Today, 55 activity groups operate across Greater Sydney and Wollongong, engaging more than 3,800 seniors from Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Singaporean, and other communities.

Several CASS Board members and management staff attended the event to celebrate this significant milestone.

The Premier’s Multicultural Community Medals honour individuals and organisations who make outstanding contributions to society and foster social cohesion and harmony across NSW.
