Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional holiday that involves a series of cultural activities such as racing dragon boats, making and eating sticky rice dumplings etc. in many Asian countries. At CASS Gumnut Early Learning Centre – Campsie, we designed some cultural programs this year so children can have a small taste of how this holiday is celebrated.

Some kids had a role play game to learn how to work with the team in a dragon boat race, in which the drummer beats a rhythm for the crew to row to. Some other kids made the sticky rice dumpling for the first time and enjoyed it very much.
