Winning Entries of the “Combating COVID-19: Turning Isolation Into Creativity” Competition Part 3
Entries we received are artistic, creative and inspiring, covering a very varied field of topics, reflecting keen interests of people in the community from various cultural backgrounds. We had to make hard decisions to pick the winning entries, and we wish to share these brilliant works with you.
This entry was submitted by a couple from the Korean community. Although this partner dance was filmed in their backyard, the Mrs took the time to put on full makeup and lovely jewellery to match her outfit. They cooperated smoothly throughout the dance and their eye contact was sweet and heart-warming.
This participant is a young office worker from the Chinese Community. She now spends more time at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so in her spare time she learnt how to bake a sponge cake and has filmed the process. The soft texture and delicious taste of sponge cake makes it a good desert for the family and is welcomed by people of all ages.
This is from a family in the Chinese community. They have two boys who now don’t need to attend school every day. The brothers learnt how to use tools and built their own bicycle track and helped to mow the lawn. Following their older sister, they distributed face masks in the neighbourhood, hoping to help those in need and keep everyone safe. They have learnt the value of life through this pandemic, and their actions are commendable!
